Set Up Form Options for T4 Slips and T4 Summary

Before you can perform this task

To set up your form options for T4 slip or T4 summary:

  1. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, choose Reports & Forms.
  2. Under Government Forms, select Federal Payroll.
  3. In the T4 Slips Printer Settings area, select a printer from the Printer list.
  4. If you want to print the form and the contents, choose Plain-paper laser and inkjet form in the Form Type list.
  5. If you are printing on the pre-printed government forms:
  1. Choose Pre-printed laser and inkjet form in the Form Type list.
  2. Choose a font and font size (10 pt or smaller).
  3. Perform a test print. If needed change the top and left margin settings so that the text prints correctly in the boxes on the form. Depending on your printer, you need to enter negative values to get the correct positioning.
  1. If you are setting up your printer for a T4 summary and your pre-printed forms do not have your company information on them, select the option at the bottom of the window to include your company name and address on the form.
  2. Click OK.

Note: Remember to change your printer's paper size back to the original settings after printing T4 slips.
