Perform a Full Installation of Sage Simply Accounting

To perform a Full Installation of Sage Simply Accounting on your computer:

1. Insert the Sage Simply Accounting disc into your computer. When the launch window opens click Install Sage Simply Accounting.

If the launch window doesn't open, open the Windows Start menu and select Run. Type D:LAUNCH in the Open box and click OK (Substitute your optical disc drive letter if it isn't D:).

2. Select your language preference and click Next.
3. Select Yes when prompted to run Sage Simply Accounting on this computer.
4. Enter your serial number or select to install a Free Trial Version and click Next.
5. Read the Licence Agreement and click I Agree to continue. Clicking Decline cancels the installation.
6. (Optional) If you have the Windows Firewall turned on, click Yes to let Sage Simply Accounting automatically set up your firewall options. If you click No, or if you have a different firewall installed, you will need to configure your firewall permissions manually for Sage Simply Accounting. Consult our online knowledgebase for additional information about configuring your firewall.
7. Select the folder into which Sage Simply Accounting will be installed:
   • If you want to change the default folder for the new installation, click Browse and then locate and select the folder in which Sage Simply Accounting should be installed. Click OK and then click Next.
   • Click Next if you want to install the new version of Sage Simply Accounting over your earlier version. You will not be able to use your previous copy of Sage Simply Accounting if select this option. Click Next.
8. (Optional) Select the Add a shortcut to my desktop checkbox.
9. Select the Type of installation and then click Next:
   • Typical. Installs everything you need to use all of the features available in your edition of Sage Simply Accounting. This is the recommended installation choice.  
   • Advanced. Allows you to select which features to install and leave out. Recommended for advanced users only.
10. Review your installation choices in the Installation summary. If you need to make any changes, use the Back button to get to the correct window. Otherwise, click Install to proceed with the installation.
11. (Optional) Select Yes, I want to open Sage Simply Accounting now.
12. (Optional) Select Yes, I want to view the Readme file now. This file contains release notes that are not included in the online help.
13. (Optional) Select Yes, I want to view the help now.
14. Click Finish.
15. Restart your computer.

Note: If you use the Sage Simply Accounting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, you have to restart Outlook for the add-in to become available.
