Perform a Server-Only Installation of Sage Simply Accounting
To complete a server-only installation so you can store and share your company data on a network:
Note: You must be an administrator for this computer to install Sage Simply Accounting. The Sage Simply Accounting Connection Manager cannot be installed on a network-attached storage unit, certain versions of Linux, or network drive.
- Insert the Sage Simply Accounting disc into your computer. When the launch window opens click Install Sage Simply Accounting.
If the launch window doesn't open, open the Windows Start menu and select Run. Type D:LAUNCH in the Open box and click OK (Substitute your optical disc drive letter if it isn't D:).
- Select your language preference and click Next.
- Choose No when prompted to run Sage Simply Accounting on this computer. By selecting No, a server-only installation is performed.
- Read the Licence Agreement and click I Agree to continue. Clicking Decline cancels the installation.
- (Optional) If you have the Windows Firewall turned on, click Yes to let Sage Simply Accounting automatically set up your firewall options. If you click No, or if you have a different firewall installed, you will need to configure your firewall permissions manually for Sage Simply Accounting. Consult our online knowledgebase for additional information about configuring your firewall.
- Review your installation choices in the Installation summary. If you need to make any changes, use the Back button to get to the correct window. Otherwise, click Install to proceed with the installation.
- (Optional) Click Open Configuration Help to read and print information about configuring your computer when sharing data. Then click Next.
- Click Finish once the installation is complete.
- Restart your computer.
