Add or Modify a Foreign Currency
Before you can perform this task
- In the Home window,
on the Setup menu, select Settings. Click
Company and then Currency.
- On a new line in
the Foreign Currency column, click Find , select the currency you want to add, and click Select.
- (Optional) If you accept this foreign currency with your merchant account, in the Merchant Acct. column select that merchant account so that the account is automatically selected for payments made with this currency. Each merchant account can be linked to multiple currencies. (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)
- (Optional) Enter
an exchange rate for the new currency.
- Click OK.
To modify the appearance of a foreign currency:
One foreign currency
- In the Home window,
on the Setup menu, select Settings. Click
Company and then click Currency.
- Enter your changes
to any or all of the following:
- Symbol
- If you don't have the correct symbol on your keyboard, you can use the
following keystrokes:
- ($) Dollar: ALT+036
- (£) Pound: ALT+0163
- (¥) Yen: ALT+0165
- (€) Euro: ALT+0128
- Symbol
Position - Leading (in front of number)
or Trailing (behind number)
- Thousands
Separator
- Decimal
Separator
- Click OK.
Multiple foreign currencies
- In the Home window,
on the Setup menu, select Settings. Click
Company and then click Currency.
- Select the item
you want to modify for a currency and enter your change. You can change:
- Symbol
- If you don't have the correct symbol on your keyboard, you can use the
following keystrokes:
- ($) Dollar: ALT+036
- (£) Pound: ALT+0163
- (¥) Yen: ALT+0165
- (€) Euro: ALT+0128
- Symbol
Position - Click Find and select either Leading
(in front of number) or Trailing (behind
number)
- Thousands
Separator
- Decimal
Separator
- Click OK.
