The Company File Check & Repair scans your company file and attempts to fix any errors caused by corrupted or orphaned files.
This tool can be opened in Sage Simply Accounting or in the Sage Simply Accounting folder on the Windows Start menu. The Company File Check & Repair also automatically scans your company's data when you upgrade Sage Simply Accounting or restore your company from a backup file.
The Company File Check & Repair operates in two modes: Basic and Advanced. Both modes remove corrupted files, but the Advanced check also removes any orphaned files it detects.
Note: The Advanced mode is a more detailed scan and may take several minutes to complete if you have a large file.
Sage Simply Accounting runs the Company File Check & Repair Basic tool prior to upgrading your database to ensure that your company can be converted. If there are any complicated tasks required to complete the upgrade, the Advanced tool will run automatically.
Running the Company File Check & Repair from Sage Simply Accounting opens it in Advanced mode.
If you open the Company File Check & Repair from the Start menu, you can select the file you want to scan and which version of the tool you want to use (Basic or Advanced).
