Add or Rename a Department
        
Before you can perform any of 
 these tasks
        
        
        In the Departments 
 Settings window, you can:
        
Add a department
        
        
            
                - In the Home window, 
 on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open 
 General (Accounts), and then click Departments.
 
                - Type the new department 
 Code on a blank line.
 
                - Type the new department 
 Description.
 
                - By default, all 
 accounts are assigned to a new department. To remove accounts assigned 
 to the department, click Assign accounts 
 and change the accounts.
 
                - Click OK.
 
            
         
        
Rename or renumber a department
        
        
            
                - In the Home window, 
 on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open 
 General (Accounts), and then click Departments.
 
                - Select the department 
 Code or Description 
 you want to change.
 
                - Make your changes
 
                - Click OK.
