Like T4 slips or other government forms, you can now print the T5018 slips on plain paper. You do not have to order forms or spend time adjusting the printer margins. Just print.

If you are still using pre-printed forms for Records of Employment, you will notice that the information prints clean and crisp. We have taken time to upgrade to a PDF printing solution just for ROE.

Simplified activation for payroll features

While you work in Sage 50 Accounting, it is now easier than ever to start using payroll. We have eliminated one step in the process. You no longer have to enter a Payroll ID. Just start processing paycheques, remitting taxes, and filing tax forms. Your software will recognize whether or not you subscribe to a Sage Business Care plan with payroll. (Internet connection is required)

Quick access to online filing option for T4s

You wanted another access point. We listened. Now you can easily access the Export T4s (Internet File Transfer) window from the T4 Slip and Summary Options window. Making your work easier is our goal.

Efficient updating and installation

If you're updating from the Sage 50 Accounting 2013.3 release or Sage 50 Accounting (Release 2014.1), you get to experience product updates that are quick, convenient, and effortless. We've eliminated work interruptions by making the updates download in the background. We've also simplified installation even further by not requiring you to enter your key code or serial number if you're connected to the internet.

Changes to the Manitoba sales tax

Effective July 1, 2013, the Manitoba Retail Sales Tax (RST) rate increased to 8%. This tax is calculated on the selling price of most goods and some services, before the GST is applied. New companies created in this release use the new rate of 8%.
