Restore Your Company from a Backup
- In the Home window,
on the File menu, choose Restore.
- In the Restore
From Backup window, if you are restoring from a disc, insert the disc
into your computer drive, and click Next.
- In the Select Backup
File window, select a file using one of the following methods:
- In Select
a Backup File, select a backup file from the list, or click Browse to locate the copy you want to restore.
- In the Schedule Backup Files Found area, select a backup
file from the list. You will only see files in this area if you have scheduled
Sage 50 Accounting to backup automatically.
- Click Next.
- In the New File
Name window, to avoid overwriting the current working copy of your company,
give the restored company a different name than that of the working copy.
Caution: If you want to use
the same name, make sure you save the restored copy in another folder
or it will replace the working copy of your company.
- Complete the remaining
steps in the wizard.
- (Optional) Check
the data integrity after restoring your company file.
