Online Banking
Most banks provide their customers access to their accounts
via the Internet. This allows individuals and businesses to view their
account balances and activities, pay bills, and transfer funds between
accounts without having to visit the bank or after hours.
Sage 50 Accounting supports online banking in two ways:
Store account information
You can enter the bank or credit card company's
Web site address in your account
records, so you can open a Web browser from within Sage 50 Accounting
to check your online account details. You can also store all of your bank
or credit card account numbers in your account records for quick reference.
Import online bank statements
As in traditional banking, when you perform
transactions in online banking, they must also be entered in Sage 50 Accounting
in order to keep your account records current. Sage 50 Accounting automates
this procedure by importing
transactions from your bank account and automatically clearing them
in the account reconciliation window.
To start using online banking, set
