Allow Transactions Dated in the Future or the Next Fiscal Year

Before you can perform this task

Switch to single-user mode (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)

To be able to enter transactions dated after the current session date:

  1. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open Company, and select System.
  2. Select Allow transactions in the future.
  3. (Optional) Select Warn if transactions are [number] days in the future and enter a number in the box.
  4. Click OK.

To be able to enter transactions dated in the next fiscal year: (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)

Before you can perform this task

You need to subscribe to a payroll plan.

  2. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open Company, and select System.
  3. Select Allow transactions in the future.
  4. (Optional) Select Warn if transactions are [number] days in the future and enter a number in the box.
  5. Select Allow General Journal and payroll transactions for the next fiscal year or calendar year.
  6. Click OK.
