Modify Text in a Sage 50 Form - Sage 50 Forms Designer

Before you can perform this task

You can perform the following modifications using the Sage 50 Forms Designer:

Edit the text

  1. Right-click on the text box and select Properties.
  2. Edit the text.
  3. Click OK to save changes.

Change the format of the text

  1. Right-click on the text box and select Properties.
  2. In the Text section, make the format changes you want.
  3. Click OK to save changes.

Note:  You can modify several text boxes at once by holding down the CTRL key and clicking the text boxes you want to modify. You then use the toolbar buttons to change font, alignment, or colour. When you have completed your edits, click Save.

Change the format of the text box

  1. Right-click on the text box and select Properties.
  2. In the Text section, from the list in the Background box, select a colour.
  3. Click OK to save changes.
  4. To change the type of border around the text box:
  1. Right-click on the text box and select Properties.
  2. In the Border section, select whether you want the border to appear on the top, bottom, left, or right of the text box. If you want the text box to have borders on all sides, select all the check boxes.
  3. Click OK to save the changes.

Note:  You can modify several text boxes at once by holding down the CTRL key and clicking the text boxes you want to modify. You then use the toolbar buttons to change font, alignment, or colour. When you have completed your edits, click Save.

Change where the text box appears on a multi-page or a multi-stub form

  1. With the form open in the Sage 50 Forms Designer, right-click on the text box and select Properties.
  2. In the Show section, select whether you want the text box to appear on all pages, on the first page, on the final page, or on all pages except the final page.
  3. If the Stub Field check box is available, then you are customizing a form which contains more than one stub. If your form contains two stubs, and you want the text box to appear on both stubs, then select this check box.
  4. Click OK to save changes.

Move a text box on the page

  1. Click on the text box to select it. The pointer changes to a cross when it is placed over the selected text box.
  2. Drag the text box to its new location.
  3. Click OK to save changes.

Note:  To reset the form to the original template provided in Sage 50 Accounting, on the Edit menu choose Revert To Template. You can also undo changes by clicking the Undo button on the toolbar, or choosing Undo Changes from the Edit menu.
