Settings Window - Company
Select a task or view a list of tasks that you can perform in these
settings windows:
- Information
- Record your company address and contact information, and the dates for
current and historical fiscal years.
- System
- Use check numbers as the source on
cash purchases and sales, set up the earliest transaction date allowed,
allow transactions to be dated in the future, and
change your cash accounting date. In Sage Simply Accounting - Enterprise Edition, turn on Fast Posting to speed up transaction processing.
- Backup
- In this window, you can set up reminders to backup your company data
or create a regular backup schedule.
- Features
- Set up projects in your company, packing slips for shipments, and quotes
and orders for customers or vendors.
Allow data entry in English and Spanish.
- Credit
Cards - Set up the credit cards that your company uses and accepts.
- Sales
Taxes - Add, modify, and remove the sales tax codes Sage Simply Accounting
uses in sales and purchases, and change a sales tax rate in your tax codes.
Add, modify, and remove a sales tax, and set up tax reports to include
sales tax information.
- Currency
- Select your home and foreign currencies, and change the way a currency
appears.
- Forms
- Enter the next number used for a variety of transactions, and set up batch
printing of specific forms. Set up reminders to e-mail or print a form
before processing it, to check if a form number is out of sequence, or
to alert you when the same invoice or receipt number is used for more
than one customer.
- E-mail
- Set up the default message that appears in the forms that you e-mail,
and select the file type of your e-mail messages.
- Date
Format - Set the format of long and short dates in Sage Simply Accounting,
the day on which your company begins a week, and the format of dates that
appear on reports or on screen.
- Sage Billing Boss Sync - Add your Sage Billing Boss account information and set up default accounts as well as accepted credit cards for the Sage Billing Boss synchronization.
- Shippers
- Set up shipment tracking, add or modify a shipping company, and remove
a shipping company from your list of shippers.
- Logo - Add
or change a logo on your company's forms.
- Names
- Add,
rename, or remove an Additional Information box for transactions.
