How do I synchronize a Sage Billing Boss account with Sage Simply Accounting?

Before you can perform this task

In the Synchronization Setup dialog box, you can quickly enter the necessary information for Sage Billing Boss and Sage Simply Accounting synchronization. Information that you enter in this window is stored in Company Settings under Sage Billing Boss Sync.

Tips:  

To synchronize with my account

  1. In the Home window, on the File menu, choose Import/Export, and then Synchronize with Sage Billing Boss.
  2. In the Synchronization Setup dialog box, enter the email address that is associated with your Sage Billing Boss account and your Sage Billing Boss password. The last email address that you enter is stored. Keep this in mind if you connect to Sage Billing Boss with various email addresses.
  3. (Required) For Track Sales, select an account to track sales transactions for customer records that do not have a default revenue account. If this account has already been selected for your company, this menu is disabled.
  4. For Track Customer Payments, select an account to track customer payments made in either cash or by check.

To synchronize with a client's account

  1. In the Home window, on the File menu, choose Import/Export, and then Synchronize with Sage Billing Boss.
  2. In the Synchronization Setup dialog box, enter your Sage Billing Boss credentials (email and password). The last email address that you enter is stored. Keep this in mind if you connect to Sage Billing Boss with various email addresses.
  3. Then enter your client's email address in the bottom field.
  4. For Track Sales, select an account to track sales transactions for customer records that do not have a default revenue account. If this account has already been selected for your company, this menu is disabled.
  5. For Track Customer Payments, select an account to track customer payments made in either cash or by check.

Notes:

If you have already completed the necessary steps for synchronization, including email addresses and default accounts for both sales and receipts, you only need to enter your password for subsequent logins.
