Build an Item from a Bill of Materials

To build an item from an existing Bill of Materials:

1. Open the Bill of Materials & Item Assembly window. How?
   1. In the Home window, click Inventory & Services on the navigation pane.
   2. In the Tasks pane, click the Build from Bill of Materials icon.
2. In the first box, select Bill Of Materials.
3. (Optional) Choose the location at which the item will be assembled. (Premium)
4. In the Source box, type an identifying number.
5. Select or enter the date for the items you are building, and then add a comment, if desired.
6. In the Item box, click the magnifying glass, and select the item that you would like to build.
7. In the Quantity box, type the number of items that you are building.
8. (Optional) If the item needs to have a serial number assigned to it, click and enter the serial number. If you need to create multiple serial numbers, you can use the serial number generator. (Enterprise)
9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 if you want to build additional items.
10. Click Process.
