Add or Remove a Component from a  Bill of Materials Item
        You can add or remove items that is used to build another inventory item from a bill of materials.
        
To add a component to an inventory item that is built from a bill of materials:
        
        
            - Open the record for the inventory item. 
How?- In the Home window, click Inventory & Services on the navigation pane.
 - In the Tasks pane, right-click  the Inventory & Services icon and select Modify Inventory & Services from the menu.
 - Select an inventory or service item from the list and click OK.
 
 
            - On the Build tab, for each component that you want to add, enter or select the Item, Unit, Description, and Quantity.
 
            - Click Save 
 and Close.
 
        
        
To remove a component from an inventory item that is built from a bill of materials:
        
        
            - Open the record for the inventory item. 
How?- In the Home window, click Inventory & Services on the navigation pane.
 - In the Tasks pane, right-click  the Inventory & Services icon and select Modify Inventory & Services from the menu.
 - Select an inventory or service item from the list and click OK.
 
 
            - On the Build tab, select each column of the component that you want to remove and press the Delete key. Repeat this step for each component that you want to remove.
 
            - Click Save 
 and Close.
