Submit a Direct Deposit File
Before you can perform this task
To submit (upload) a direct deposit
file to your direct deposit service provider for processing:
For payroll
- Open the Upload Direct Deposit File window. How?
- In the Home window, click Employees & Payroll on the navigation pane.
- In the Related Tasks pane, click the Upload Direct Deposit icon.
- Select the paycheques
you want to submit by entering the following information:
- In the Status box, choose one of the following:
- All.
Displays all cheques
- Generated.
Only those cheques that have been previously
generated
- Not
Generated. Only those cheques that have never been generated.
- Enter a date range.
- Click Display.
- In the
list, in the checkmark column, select the cheques to be included in the direct
deposit upload file.
- Click Upload.
- In the authentication
window, enter your company information and password and click Upload.
A message then informs you that Sage Simply Accounting has uploaded
a direct deposit file to your service provider. In the message box, you
can click on the hyperlink to log on to the service provider's web site
to review your uploaded files.
For vendor direct deposits
- Open the Upload Vendor Direct Deposit Transactions window. How?
- In the Home window, on the File menu, select Import/Export, Upload Direct Payments, and then Vendor Direct Deposits .
- In the Transaction Type section, select a transaction type based on the vendor's bank account information that was recorded in the vendor's record.
- $CAD bank accounts in Canada. Your vendor has a Canadian bank account that only accepts Canadian dollars.
- $USD bank accounts in Canada. Your vendor has a Canadian bank account that only accepts US dollars.
- $USD bank accounts in the US. Your vendor has a US bank account that only accepts US dollars.
- In the Select Transactions section, from the Show list, select whether you want to see all transactions (uploaded and those not yet uploaded), only uploaded transactions, or only those transactions that have not been uploaded.
- Enter or select a date range for the transactions you want displayed.
- If you are working in multi-user mode, click Refresh to get the latest list of transactions. (Premium).
- Select the transactions you want to upload.
- Click Upload.
- Log on to your payment service provider account.
A message then informs you that Sage Simply Accounting has uploaded
a direct deposit file to your service provider. In the message box, you
can click on I want to manage my uploaded transactions online to log on to the Sage Simply Accounting service provider's web site
to edit your uploaded files.
You can only delete uploaded transactions at the service provider's web site.
