Change an Account Type
Select a task:
Change the account type of an existing account
- Open the record for the account that you want to modify. How?
- In the Home window, click Company on the navigation pane.
- In the Accountant's Tasks pane, right-click the Chart of Accounts icon and select Modify Account from the menu.
- Select an account from the list and click OK.
- On the Account
tab, in the Type section, select an account
type.
- Click Save
and Close.
Change the account type in Simply Accounting First Step
- In the Home window, from the Tools menu, select For My Accountant and then Account Information.
- In the Select box, choose the account you want to change.
- On the Account
tab, in the Type section, choose a type for this account.
- Click Save
and Close.
Change the account type in a bank account in Simply Accounting First Step
- In the Home window, from the Tools menu, select For My Accountant and then Account Information.
- From the list in the Select box, choose the bank account that you want to change.
- On the Info
tab, select Chequing, Savings, or Other from the Account Type list.
- Click Save
and Close.
