Change a User's Security Rights
Before you can perform this task
To change or limit the security access rights of a user in your company
- In the Home window
on the Setup menu, choose Set Up Users & Roles.
- Select a user and then click the Modify User button.
- Select the types
of rights you want to give this user for each module, or select the security role you want to assign to this user.
- (Optional) To change the access rights to individual reports, click the Advanced Reports button. Within each module on the left, set the Rights column of any report in the table to Full Access or No Access.
- To control whether
a user can read or edit data using non-Sage Simply Accounting software (like
Crystal Reports), in the User's Rights
with Third Party Products section, select what kind of access you
want to give the user. For security reasons, it is safest to leave this
option as the default of No Data Access.
- Click OK to close the Modify User window.
