Change the Default Tax Code for New Customers

Before you can perform this task

To change the default tax code for new customers:

1. In the Home window on the Setup menu, choose Settings.
2. Click on Customers and Sales, and then Options.
3. From the list in Tax Code For New Customers, select a tax code.
4. Click OK.

Note: You override these default settings when you enter a different sales tax in a customer invoice and customer record.
