Impact of Removing an Inventory or Service Item

Removing an inventory or service item will change your company data as follows:

• Removed items will be deleted from your inventory and services records.
• Removed items will still appear on invoices that you look up, but those invoices cannot be adjusted or reversed. (Enterprise)
• Item associations will be updated in the Inventory & Vendors window. (Enterprise)
• Changes to reports:
• All inventory reports, time & billing reports, and the Product Analysis report will no longer include the removed items.
• Removed items will be moved to the “Other items” or "Other amounts" section in the following reports: (Enterprise)
• Vendor Purchases (Summary and Detail)
• Customer Sales (Summary and Detail)
• Sales by Job Category (Summary and Detail)
• Sales by Salesperson (Summary and Detail)
• Customer Analysis (Summary and Detail)
• Sales Synopsis
• All other reports, including the financial reports, will be unaffected.
