Add a Time Slip Amount to a Sales or Purchase Invoice

To add a time slip amount to a sales invoice

  1. In the Sales Invoice window, select the customer you want to invoice.
  2. Click Add time slip activities .
  3. In the Service Activities Selection window, enter the date range for the time slip activities.
  4. (Optional) If you are selecting more than one activity, use the Sort By list to select how the activities on the invoice should be sorted (this also affects how the activities are sorted on this screen).
  5. (Optional) If you select more than one activity, you can consolidate similar activities into one entry.

    You can combine entries by Activity, by Employee & Activity, by Employee/Contractor & Activity (Enterprise), and by Date & Activity, depending on the sort order you selected. For example, if you select Employee and Activity as the sort order, all activities completed by the same employee will appear as one entry on the invoice.

  6. Put a checkmark in the Selection column next to the activities that you want to add.
  7. Note: If you cannot find an activity, try changing the activity date range or select Show Non-billable Activities.

  8. Click Add.
  9. Finish filling out the invoice and then Process it.
  10. Note: To adjust sales tax amounts, chooseTax Summary or Tax Summary For Line from the Sales menu.

To add a time slip amount to a purchase invoice (Enterprise)

  1. In the Purchase Invoice window, select the contractor you want to pay.
  2. Click Add time slip activities .
  3. In the Service Activities Selection window, enter the date range for the time slip activities.
  4. (Optional) If you are selecting more than one activity, use the Sort By list to select how the activities on the invoice should be sorted (this also affects how the activities are sorted on this screen).
  5. (Optional) If you select more than one activity, you can consolidate similar activities into one entry.

    You can combine entries by Activity, by Customer & Activity, and by Date & Activity, depending on the sort order you selected. For example, if you select Customer and Activity as the sort order, all activities completed by the same customer will appear as one entry on the invoice.
